Our St. Patrick’s Breastplate Letterpress Prayer Card is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and pray with both your hands and your heart. Featuring the powerful prayer attributed to St. Patrick, also known as The Lorica - this card is rooted in centuries-old craftsmanship and created to honor words of faith, protection, and trust in God’s presence.
Each card is designed and printed in Ontario on a traditional letterpress machine, using methods that are intentionally slow, tactile, and deeply rooted in tradition. Printed on 100% cotton paper, the soft off-white tone and substantial weight set a reverent foundation, allowing the prayer to stand with clarity and strength. The paper’s natural softness receives a deep impression, creating a texture you can feel, something modern printing cannot replicate.
The ink is mixed by hand, producing a color that is rich yet restrained, chosen to support prayer rather than distract from it. Each impression is made on a vintage Heidelberg Windmill press, a machine built in the early twentieth century and still producing beautiful work when guided by skilled hands. The result is a prayer card with true physical presence, one that feels as enduring as the words it bears.
